KONA WOZO

FAT TIRES CONQUER ALL

If there was a biking equivalent of a Unimog, it might just be the fat bike. Burly, tough, and able to roll over anything, fat bikes have taken people into uncharted terrain unlike any other machine before. This year we’re introducing the Woo—a bike that takes cues from both the Wo and Wozo and features our new Woo carbon fork with three-pack cage mounts. Forget the gym in the winter! Fat is the now!

The Wozo has become our guilty pleasure. Sure, it’s great to ride in typical Fat Bike conditions, but it also rips on singletrack. With those mid-fat Maxxis tires, traction is paramount and bumps dissolve with ease. The Wozo runs on 27.5” wheels and a 100mm Manitou Mastodon Comp fork. We’ve updated the chainstay yoke for increased tire clearance, added a dropper post and upgraded the drivetrain to a SRAM NX/SX Eagle 12-speed to help keep those big tires turning!

2020 Kona Wo

The Wo was our first foray into the fat bike world and continues to be our gold standard. This year we’ve given the Wo a big upgrade with a SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain with 11-50 tooth cassette. We’ve also wrapped the tubeless-ready Sun Ringle Mulefut 80mm Rims in 4.8” Vee Rubber. Roll on!

Just like its name implies, the Woo brings the party! We’ve built the ultimate fat bike utilizing our favorite attributes from its siblings in the lineup. A Wozo frame is outfitted with an all-new rigid carbon fiber fork that includes three-pack cage mounts. A SRAM SX 12-speed Eagle drivetrain powers 26” Sun Ringle Mulefut 80mm tubeless rims. Surly

Surly Ice Cream Truck

From log and root covered ribbons of twisty singletrack to miles of powdery snow or sandy beaches, Ice Cream Truck can handle it all. Hell, you could probably even hop over a grizzly if the situation arises. Probably.

While we could certainly throw out terms like “confidence-inspiring” and “traction-laden” to describe Ice Cream Truck, those phrases are mostly bullshit, so we’re not going to do that. We’re not here to inspire you, and we didn’t laden it with anything. What we did do was design a monolith of a trail bike that doesn’t give two shits about what’s in front of it.

Surly Wednesday

Wednesday sits in the middle of our Trail category, but don’t let that fool you into thinking that’s its only use. With Wednesday, we borrowed elements from some of our Trail and Touring models to create a versatile fat tire trail bike that can truly handle anything you want to attempt.

If you do an equal amount of off-road touring as you do hitting trails, Wednesday’s ability to play both parts equally will suit you well. Or, if you’re looking for a fat bike and don’t need the fattest tires on the market, Wednesday’s 26 x 4.6” tire clearance is just the ticket.

Surly Pugsley

Maximalist off-road tourists, explorers looking to get off the beaten path, and survivalists for whom being stranded isn’t an option will all appreciate Pugsley’s wide footprint, long and stable wheelbase, and plethora of accessory mounts.

Since way back in twenty-aught-three, Pugsley has seen it all: intercontinental bikepacking trips, bushwhacking at its finest, mirages in the desert, and countless souls taking on the Arrowhead 135 ultra-endurance race. It’s seen some, shall we say, sticky situations, but it always finds its way out. Its proven track record gives it the calling card as the quintessential fat tire expedition bike.
